Japan Nutrition Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Koichi “Cody” Nishimura; hereinafter “JNC”) is pleased to announce that, effective April 1, 2026, JNC will become the exclusive distributor in Japan for feed additives and functional feeds supplied by SDS Biotech K.K. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Masatoshi Takeda; hereinafter “SDS”).

SDS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Idemitsu Agri-Life Holdings Co., Ltd., engaged in the manufacture, import, and sale of agrochemicals, functional feeds, industrial fungicides, pest control agents, and specialty chemicals. In addition to possessing advanced capabilities in the development of functional feed materials, SDS has leveraged its strength in the development of functional feed materials to contribute to Japan’s feed and livestock industries, focusing on the feed additives “Rumminap” and “Molucca,” which utilize microorganisms and natural substances.

In May 2025, Rumminap was designated in Japan as a feed additive that helps reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from livestock. As a result, it is now attracting growing attention as an environmentally friendly solution.

Through this exclusive distribution arrangement, JNC will combine SDS’s distinctive product lineup with JNC’s global raw material sourcing capabilities and nationwide sales network in Japan to deliver effective and practical solutions to customers. Going forward, JNC and SDS will work closely together, leveraging their respective strengths and expertise to respond to the evolving needs and regulatory environment of the feed and livestock industries, while pursuing further growth for both companies.
